Invisalign® treatment uses cutting-edge technology to create a series of virtually invisible and removable plastic trays (aligners) that are custom-made for an ideal fit over a patient's teeth at every treatment stage.
The Invisalign® aligners gradually and gently shift teeth into their correct position based on the exact movements a dentist or orthodontist plans out using ClinCheck 3D software. 3D software allows you to show the patient the likely final tooth position.
There are several treatments to align the teeth, but not all combine efficiency, aesthetic appearance and comfort.
Initial Consultation : A ‘no-obligation’ free consultation with one of our Invisalign® dentists where a free 3D scan is taken of your teeth to show you a simulation of results of Invisalign®.
Dental records are taken including photos, x-rays and digital scans
The records are then sent to Invisalign® along with the treatment prescription form which is based on the orthodontic assessment.
Align Technology creates a customised 3D treatment plan (referred to as a 'ClinCheck' treatment plan). This plan is reviewed and we discuss the final outcome with you. Once you are happy with the outcome of the treatment plan, the ClinCheck is approved. The approval triggers the manufacturing of the complete series of the aligners
Based on the approved treatment plan, a series of custom-made aligners are created and shipped to the practice
An initial fitting appointment is arranged wherein 1-2 sets of aligners are provided to the patient
Aligners are worn for 20-22 hours a day and are removed to eat, drink, brush and floss. Aligners are changed every 1-2 weeks. Appointments take place every 4 weeks for new aligners and to monitor progress.
Retainers are required after completion of the treatment to help maintain the new teeth position.
Invisalign® uses a series of removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. These aligners are made from clear plastic material making them virtually invisible.

Most people experience temporary, minor discomfort for a few days at the beginning of each new stage of treatment. This is normal and is typically described as a feeling of pressure. It is a sign that the Invisalign® aligners are working sequentially to move your teeth to their final destination. This discomfort typically goes away after a couple of days.
Like all orthodontic treatments, aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people and you may have a slight lisp for a day or two. However, as your tongue gets used to having aligners in your mouth, any lisp or minor speech impediment caused by the aligners should disappear.
Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day, and should only be removed when eating, brushing and flossing.
